I have a google analytics account for my website, but I cannot access account settings and other property settings yet I have 'edit' rights since I am the admin.

This is making me unable to link my adwords account to the google analytics account.  Account settings and property settings are deactivated. What could be the problem?

Access in Google Analytics is controlled at the Account, Property and View level. You can have Manage Users, Edit, Collaborate and Read&Analyze access.  Make sure you have the level of access for the item you want to change.

A common problem is experienced with Filters - Filters are created and managed at the account level, although they are applied at the view level.
