Google analytics active users vs visitors to my site
I have google analytics universal active on my shopify website. If I look at 'active users' for one day on google analytics I might see 40 as total number, but yet when I look at the dashboard on my shopify admin area I will see only 4 visitors and it might say 2 are unique. How is this discrepancy between active users and visitors the explained? I would have assumed that an active user who has at least one session on my site would show up as a visitor to my site? I am assuming that it is Google analytics that is driving the visitor number on the shopify site?

GA counts it like this:
Most likely the difference is explained how the number is calculated.
