Hello, I would like to use google conversion tracking to monitor visitors activities following an email campaign and I would like to know if we can use this features Independently from Adwords and integrate it with an email instead (I don't have any active campaigns right now on Google Adwords) ?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Yacine,

You can import 'goals' from Google Analytics to Google AdWords for a more comprehensive conversion tracking setup.

See the following article: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1704341?hl=en

A few things:

#1 If your email campaign was done via Gmail Sponsored Promotions should should still see conversions because of GCLID tagging.

#2 If your email campaign was organic I recommend that you include UTM tagging in all of your links. This should allow for independent conv. tracking.

Let me know if this answers your question!

If I get it right

You always can use Google Analytics goals and e-commerce tracking for any source of traffic, including email campaign. To track your emails campaigns in Google Analytics you should use UTM tagging for your links in the email https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1033863?hl=en
