Do I need to escape "?" and "="

I have a link that I'm inputting into Google's URL Builder Form and the link contains "410264009?token=98b349df"

Right before the form, it says I need to "escape" special characters. Does the "?" and "=" fall under this? What are their escaped versions? Do I even need to bother doing so? (I generated a URL from the form and it seemed to work just fine)

No, those are not special characters.

"Special characters" are the ones that

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percent-encoding refers to as "reserved characters."
