Yes. try to add it in header module of your site so that it get added throughout.

Yes of course,

the best place to add is before closing </head> oraz in Google Tag Manager.

 

Remember about error 4xx page and 5xx page.

If wordpress and you are new to GA then a plugin like Yoast can make it easy
