Display Ad Attribution

I'm trying to show the true value of display advertising, but using the last touch method isn't reasonable. Also, I feel like using "Assisted Conversions" is too simplistic, so I'm trying to find something in the middle.

 

When looking at conversion paths and seeing all the interactions with display ads, I'm wondering if someone has come up with a system that demonstrates the value of display ads or impressions outside of last touch.
