I'm having a hard time with my site (https://mymedic.us/). In November our bounce rate went from an average of 50-60% down to less than 5%.

Here is the last 30 days data:

I have a shopify site, and I've looked all over for double tags. Any help would be great.

Hi,

You are sending duplicate pageviews what causes the low bounce rate. Check your tracking code implementation and make sure you are sending only a single pageview hit per page. You can use the Google Tag Assistant and GA Debugger Chrome extensions for debugging.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have questions.

How can I use Tag Assistant or the Debugger to find out if it is? Also, will it show me where the extra code is placed?

Hi,

I checked it for you, it seems that the navigation is responsible for the problem. Basically the site works like a single page application and the google analytics tracking tag is being fired within the same page. Did you change your template in November?

Yes we did. It's within the navigation? Dang. I'll try to find it and remove it.

Hey Arnold,

Thanks for your help. Our developer can't seem to find why this is doing it.

Any advice?

Hi,

It seems that the instantclick feature is responsible for the behavior that causes the tracking issue.

Try to disable/remove it, that should resolve the issue.

Did you check the instantclick thing I mentioned above?
