AdWords sessions and conversions not linking to GA

I am having an issue with AdWords linking to a clients' GA; most sessions (12,500 out of 12,800 in 30 days) show up against (not set).

None of the transactions are tracked back to the AdWords account either.

I have checked the linked account setting in AdWords and it's all in order.

Autotagging in AdWords is also enabled.

The website in question is Wordpress based and it has trailing slash enabled and we've also checked the setting to redirect "ugly" URL in Yoast is switched off.

I tested clicking on an actual ad to see if the GCLID tag shows up correctly and it does, with the correct GA tag registering it according to Google Tag Assistant.

I also checked the goal flow report for Google/cpc segment in order to see if the people clicking the ads are tracking correctly along the funnel (specifically as payment is handled off site via sage). This seems fine too.

To recap, account is linked, the GCLID tag is firing correctly and GA is implemented without a fault because we can see the Google/cpc people converting. Yet when we try and look at any AdWords reports they aren't linked back.

Any ideas at all? Shall we try manually tagging?

Just to confirm I have solved the issue; it was indeed the plugin that changes the GCLID to lowercase.

Lesson learned - GCLID *is* case sensitive.
