AdWords & Analytics Conversions not matching

Hi guys,

I have a Conversion pixel on my site which fires on a form thank you page, similarly I have a goal set up in GA tracking the same conversion point.

I have checked both the pixel implementation and also the goal set up and both are ok. However AdWords is reporting approximately 3x more conversions for the last 4 weeks (and consistently back from then).

In honesty I understand GA much, much more than AdWords, and I am aware that there are differences in collecting conversion data however the discrepancy between the two seems very high.

Has anyone suffered the same issue in the past or have any ideas?

Hi @Matthew N :-)

Usually when i am using goals in GA to track conversions eg a form signup, I will import the ga goals into Adwords as conversions.

The following article is a pretty good run down on the differences between the two methods of tracking conversions and why/how discrepancies can between the two can occur
