eCommerce Setting Bug - Admin-View-EcommerceSettings

Hello,

I have a problem with the eCommerce tracking!

The eCommerce tracking was integrated via Google Tag Manager (Universal Analytics Transaction) and the  eCommerce Tracking was activated in Google Analytics.

Admin - View - eCommerce Setting-Enhanced Ecommerce Settings - ON

After three days there are no transaction data passed to Analytics, even though the test with the Tag Manager was successful.
Then I have checked the Google Analytic settings and saw that the eCommerce tracking is inactive again.
Admin - View - eCommerce Setting-Enhanced Ecommerce Settings - OFF

Hi Marie,

are you using the enahnced ecommerce setup or classic ecommerce?

If using Enhanced ecommerce then you should not set up a transaction tag yet you would need to pass the purchase information with an event or a pagiview with Enhanced ecommerce dataLayer option enabled.

If on the other hand you are using the classic ecommerce setup in dataLayer and tags then EE option in GA view admin should be turned off.

Hope it helps!

Kind regards,

Hi Marie,

Did you add the data layer to your order confirmation page?

https://developers.google.com/tag-manager/enhanced-ecommerce#purchases

It's needed for the tracking tag so it can collect the transaction details.

You can test if your tracking tag is working properly using the Google Tag Assistant or GA Debugger Chrome plugins.

Let me know if you have questions.
