I am new with the web programming and recently someone wish to put an ad on my website. When i look into the script he sent, i found that apart from the ad banner there is also a cross domain tracking script added too. So i am just wondering what is good and bad about this. Will it affect my website Google analytics? Thanks

Your question is somewhat vague on what the script actually does.

Cross domain is tracking is the ability to track a session while the users journey takes him or her to a number of domains used by your company. It allows you to credit advertising sending users to a minisite which pass through the top level domain and later convert in the shop or some other subdomain e.g. in the shop.
p.s. There is also cross device tracking, which allows tracking users (not sessions) accross different devices.
