What is the best way to track and measure goals that can occur multiple times in a session?

I run a web site where the primary actions I want my users to take, hence the goals I want to track, can and do happen multiple times in a session. I tried setting up goals based off of events and destinations, but then I realized that it was under-reporting since Goals can only happen once in a session.

I know I can look at total events or pageviews to get at the number of times a certain action happened, but the value in Goals is the fact that you can evaluate your traffic sources based on their Goal completions and conversion rates. There's no easy way to do this with total events.

Does anybody have any suggestions for how to track this?

Thanks

Hi Leah,

I would suggest you to implement ecommerce tracking:

https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/ecommerce

Here is an interesting article about using ecommerce tracking instead of goals:

Hope this helps.
