Hey, Google Wizards,

Is there any reason why a URL redirect would not be tracking in Analytics? Could there be something that is prohibiting that from happening? Any and all information would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Nikolai,

Google Analytics can track the pages only if its tracking snippet is executed(usually this happens on pageview or pageload). If you have backend side URL redirect, there would not be an actual page load on the page that redirects (so GA snippet will not be executed) and it will not be tracked.

I hope this helps you.

Regards,

Güney
