Very strange things with Analytics

Hello lovely people!

First: We are pleased with the forum!

Now our question:

At the moment we are working with Magento.

Previously the orders were all good and we saw transactions in Analytics. But since June, we have only occasionally but orders within. Everything you have advised we have done:

  • The correct funnel set containing the right links.
  • The Analytics code reset on the Magento backend.
  • We have the tag manager released on the website which it gave no errors.
  • The code placed on top.

Still, we miss a lot of orders at the transactional part in Analytics.
For the rest everything works sublime: Real Time Monitoring, visitors, etc.

We hope that you can help us. Thanks in advance!

Kevin

Hi, are orders completed on your domain name?

FYI, Google Tag Manager is absent from your page code and your Google Analytics tracking is basic at best so I wouldnt be surprised if a regression occurred after a Magento base or module update.

Hi Julien,

Thanks for your very fast reply!

Yes, the orders are all completed on our domain name.

What i'm going to do is to find a plugin which helps me with the tag manager. I saw a few which are very easy to understand Smiley Happy

What do you exactly mean with the sentence: Google Analytics tracking is basic. How can I change that?

Thanks in advance Julien.

Well you can capture advanced data about your website, products and customers.

That requires using a data layer for Google Tag Manager

Hi Julien,

Excuse for my late resonse.

I've been working on the tag manager since you recommended it. I think it's working now. The only error I got is this:

- Same web property ID is tracked twice.

- Tag not fired through GTM

But I think after a few Google searches it must be helped. It's a Magento thing haha.

The transactions are working now!

Again, thanks for your help Julien.

Really appreciate it.
