UTM parameter directing to wrong directory page

I've created the following query string for this URL-

www.ctesolutions.com/course/ITIL-Training-Courses/Foundation/?utm_source=iContact&utm_medium=email&u...

however the page it it directs me to is this one - http://www.ctesolutions.com/course/, not this one as intended - http://www.ctesolutions.com/course/ITIL-Training-Courses/Foundation/

Can anyone see the reason why?  Thanks!

Hi Carl S,

When I click the first link, I am taken to exactly that URL (no redirects) with the query parameters preserved. The parameters *shouldn't* cause any redirection, so you may have the issues at hand if you are finding that the link is redirecting.

Thanks Nicky, however when I go here - http://www.ctesolutions.com/course/ITIL-Training-Courses/Foundation/?utm_source=iContact&utm_medium=...

The actual page content that displays is this page - http://www.ctesolutions.com/course/ not that content of the intended page -
http://www.ctesolutions.com/course/ITIL-Training-Courses/Foundation/ You'll see this if you remove the query string, you then go to the right page.

I created query parameters for about 15 links & all worked accept the 5 that pointed people to the subdirectory of course/course-category.

Very mysterious!

Indeed, that is very strange. I've not encountered such an issue before, as query parameters shouldn't cause redirection.

Even if I remove the QSPs and reload the page, it remains on the same page as before. Perhaps check with your development team to see if anything is happening there.
