UTM Tracking SEO, SEA and newsletters

Hi there,

I would like to track source, medium, campaign etc. for signups and sales.

So when a person clicks on a link with an UTM parameter attached and makes a free signup (f.e.), Google Analytics stores these parameters for reference. That way, I can see that my new free user came from this specific source, medium and campaign.

However, if that new user clicks on a link within my upsell email (again UTM parameters attached) and makes a sales f.e., I lose all the previous valuable signup information because Google Analytics now stores the new UTM parameters the user got due to the UTM parameters within the upsell email.

The problem here is that existing UTM parameters will be overwritten.

Is there any possibility to see all the different UTM parameters specific users get?

Thanks in advance,
Isabelle

Hi @Isabelle N :-)
You'll likely want to look into multi channel funnels

and assisted conversions reports
