URL Tagging and Seeing Unique Visitors Via that Unique Tagged Url
I am new to google analytics and I would like to use its URL tagging to better see how users act when sent a direct link to my website. Specifically, I would like see how many unique users click the tagged URL that I forwarded. Is this possible? Or will google analytics just show me how views I got via that URL. Can anyone clarify if this is possible and if so provide any pertinent information on the subject. Thanks!
Re: URL Tagging and Seeing Unique Visitors Via that Unique Tagged Url
if you are sending a URL where you can add additional parameters such as UTM you can then farly easy analyze this particular segment of users.
A) add utm parameters to the shared link (just google for google url builder)
B) create a custom segment which will use acquisition dimensions such as source, medium or campaign
Hope it helps.
