I have a URL which has no web documents, as in just a registered domain..for example - When a user enters this in the browser it is set to redirect to a facebook page  (301 redirect in apache).

Now I would like to know if it is possible to track how many visited the in google analytics ??

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sukanya,

If you have the GATC on the redirect domain, it still will NOT fire as you are doing a server side redirect.

You would have to do something awful like a deprecated metarefresh or set up some sort of interstitial to give time for GA to fire.

Conversely, you can just look at your server logs. Smiley Happy
