I’ve got a couple of queries in regards to tracking URLs on our website:
My aim is to track some affiliate codes to our database which requires the following format
This resolves to the URL
And carries the ID (XXX) and SubID (XXX) through to our database
This shows up in Google Analytics as a visit to the URL:
If I append any RefIDs to the originating tracking URL e.g:
I lose the RefID specific information as the page resolves to the same URL as the first example (https://apply.guarantormyloan.co.uk:4443/GuarantorLoanApplication?app=).
As such, I can track the referring affiliate on our database, but not within Google Analytics.
Does anybody have any advice as to how I might manage both?
