Setting up Google Analytics Goal Conversions for 3rd party site

We have a web site that has three forms.  Two of the forms are iframe embedded forms from a 3rd party.  We want to track goal conversions for those two forms and the 3rd party company just asks us for the "snippet" of code they need to add to THEIR redirected URL when someone fills out the form.

What snippet of code do we give the 3rd party and how do we set up goal conversions on our end to track the goal conversions on their forms?

Hi Rich,

Sounds like the 3rd party is asking for your Google Analytics tracking id. It can be found in your Admin under Property > Tracking Info > Tracking Code https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1008080?hl=en

In order to properly track sites using iframes. Your GA tracking snippet needs to be installed in the <head> section for the frameset/parent page AND before the closing </head> tag of each child frame (your 2 3rd party forms)

Finally, you can set up a number of different Goals in GA. Most forms use either a Destination goal (page URL) or an Event Goal (ex. clicking a submit button at the end of the form). The types of Goals are outlined in the following post:

Let me know if you have any additional questions or if you need more details.

Cheers,
