Salesforce webto form submission link Reported as Referral Traffic in GA

Dear community members,

Our website has been using Salesforce's web to lead form for years and only recently when we made an upgrade per SF's request, our goal source started to show this source:

webto.salesforce.com.

This is the link we submit our lead form too.

So far a small portion of goals show this source. But I'd like to credit these goals back to their original source, such as PPC or Organic.

Our website's quote form is here: https://www.lightboxes.com/pages/custom-quote

Can anyone please take a look at it and let me know how to prevent this webto link from being a referral source?

Thanks!

Elle

Hi Elle,

Under the property section of the admin add webto.salesforce.com. to the referral exclusion list. Once you've done this, hopefully the leads should retain the correct source/medium. To test, open incognito mode and check the source in the real time reports.

Thanks,

Adam

In case anyone is looking for a detailed tutorial for adding Salesforce as a referral exclusion in GA, I just wrote a detailed blog post about it:
