Rewirite URL to Improve Goals in Analytics

Good Morning,

I'm trying to track engagement on certain pages, using GTM as I don't find the Google goal that accurate.

I have an issue with setting up the trigger / identify the pages.

I only want to track a select number of pages, the pages sit with a category, but this is not in the url.

For example, if the site was formated like www.exaple.com/blog/a, www.exaple.com/blog/b www.exaple.com/blog/c etc

I could create the trigger easily instead it missed out a segment in the URL so looks like www.exaple.com/a, www.exaple.com/b and www.exaple.com/c etc

If there a way to add the segment in the URL using GTM?

Thanks

it should be easier in GA with search replace filter.

see "Simplify your page paths" in the above page.

just change first occurrence of '/' in every request uri with something like /^\\?/
