Offline Mobile Site Tracking
I created a mobile site which is accessible only on LAN for users connected. There is no internet on user's device or on hosted computer. How do I track the activity (as simple as pages viewed or images clicked) on this mobile site which is completely offline.
This is an Education project and users really can't afford internet.
Re: Offline Mobile Site Tracking
If you can load the URLs http://google-analytics.com/ga.js and http://google-analytics.com/__utm.gif from within your LAN network then you should be able to use google analytics without a problem. This means that the LAN would have to be able to access the open internet, so this may not be possible otherwise.
Google analytics may give you tracking not installed error since it won't be able to crawl through you page but it should still work as long as the LAN can access those files.
Hopefully this helps,
