Multi-Channel Funnels Reporting API - Assisted Conversions

We use the Google Analytics Multi-Channel Funnels Reporting API to extract assisted, first interaction and last interactions conversions and import them into our own system. Quite recently we managed to do this based only on ecommerce transactions and not additional goals. This seems to work quite well for first and last interaction conversions. All data (conversions and value) seems to correspond between Google Analytics and our own system. Assisted conversions, however, do not seem the be the same in Google Analytics and our own system. We consistently record more assisted conversions in our own system.

We use mcf:assistedConversions and mcf:assistedValue in the API to provide us with the data. But this does not seem to correspond with what we see in Google Analytics.

Has anyone ever tried to do the same thing? Did you also encounter this issue? Does anyone know what is happening here?

Looking forward to a response.

Hi Joost,

I don't know your internal system but it might be due different consideration time ranges - Analytics uses a 30-day lookback window by default which can be extended up to 90 days. What is the corresponding time range in your system?

Hi Christoph,

Thank you for your reply. We use the standard 30-day lookback window. This seems to work fine for the first and last interaction conversions. The assisted conversions don't seem to correspond. Some additional information, we connect conversions based on adwords keyword id.

Do you have another idea?
