Missing Transaction Data

We're missing e-commerce data (i.e. transaction and order value) for a recent purchase on site. From looking at the session data, the majority of other data about the user's sessions was captured, including a goal completion for successfully completing checkout.

After speaking with Adwords support team, they suggested forcing the site to re-send the javascript for the transaction that was not recorded which will then pull into analytics. This is something that I've tried in the past, but without much success. If anyone can provide some guidance on how best to do this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey David,

One hit would be the transaction and the next the product.  The first will be a transaction hit and the next an item using the same transaction ID.

Hey David,

You could do that; however, I recommend you use the measurement protocol for that.  If you have the clientID then you can use the measurement protocol to push all the data and tie back to the original source.

If you have the Transaction ID in GA, then you can add the Revenue and client data in two pushes.

You'll want to do this ASAP as it gets recorded on the day you send it.

You can use the hit builder to do this if it's just one transaction.

Hi Theo,

Thanks for the recommendation. GA did not record the Transaction ID. But I do have the Client ID, etc.

When you say I need to do it in two pushes, how exactly do you suggest? I can't push it all at once using the Hit Builder?

Regards,

David
