Magento's Ecommerce data not matching 100% with GA's Data

We have setup eCommerce via Scommerce for Magento. However, Most of the time, Google Analytics does not show 100% data in terms of Order counts. We have around 1% discrepancy in terms of Magento's back-end data and Google Analytics Data.

Should we really expect Google Analytics to capture 100% eCommerce data? I mean there can be a lot of reason why Google did not capture the order data like 1) Customer never reached Success page because he closed the browser. In this case, Magento will show that order and Google Analytics won't.

Please assist.

Gunjan

There can be lot of reasons like tracking disabled, JS error due to which GA didn't track.

IMO, Use GA to see for trends rather than actual numbers of transaction.

Have you looked into using GA's Measurement Protocol within Magento to send the transactions and refounds server side?
