Hi,

Currently am working on a site called sharedemos.com

Initially user lands on home page www.sharedemos.com then goes to

https://www.sharedemos.com/sign-up

then after signup a subdomain will form for every user like

username.sharedemos.com/dashboard/library/

It will generate new username for every user as a subdomain and i want to know how to track this as conversions in goal conversions

What type of regular expressions i should use while creating a goal..
Please give me step by step explanation its very urgent for me

Regards,
surendranath

Setting up each user as it's own subdomain makes this challenging and will make reporting a little more complex. In order to better understand your situation, what type of Goal do you want to track? (REVENUE, ACQUISITION, INQUIRY, ENGAGEMENT)

My first impression is that you might have to set up Goal details using Regular Expression.

Hi Miguel ,

Thanks for the reply

Our site is basically in to providing a product walkthrough for marketing and technical managers

My question is how many people are creating a demo page in our site like Example

miguel.sharedemos.com/dashboard/library/

and from which channel they are coming to our site

If anyone creates a demo page as above then i want to show as a goal conversion in conversions

I just need a regular expression to record as a goal

its same as like creating a sample site in www.wordpress.com

Example : a user called abc has entered www.wordpress.com and created abc.wordpress.com sample site so how to track it as conversion

it looks like a subdomain but for every user the name will be different

Currently we are running different marketing campaigns in linkedin, adwords and also SEO

So, we need to know how many people are going and creating a demo page in our site and from which channel they are coming ???

Please assist me in this

Thanks in advance

Given this information, I would suggest you break this into two separate trackings. Since your campaigns are bringing them to a landing page, I would setup conversion tracking for every page required to sign up for the account. Then on the last step, count the click the on the last button required to Sign Up. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6331304

As I mentioned, all those subdomains make things challenging. While I have not done so myself, this guide seems to indicate how you would track them after they have created their subdomains. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34251380/track-dynamic-sub-domains-in-analytics

As a side note, your form does not allow people to create subdomains with numbers such as test1234.sharedemos.com which seems strange.
