How to setup the referral exclusion list for ccTLD like (.com.tw)?

I would like to set the cross domain tracking, and i read some tutorial about the setup on GTM, referral exclusion list, auto domain link.

Finally, i got success between two development testing site (www.test1.com) and (www.test2.com).

However it do not work on the production site (www.site1.com) and (www.site2.com.tw)

I am sure the GTM setting is same between dev. site and production site (except some values like ID of GA, the auto link domain)

I using google tag assistant and found out the client id has change once (www.site1.com) to (www.site2.com.tw)

And it is highly possible cause by the referral exclusion list doesn't work well to exclude the (www.site2.com.tw).

So i would like to know does referral exclusion list  work on ccTLD ? or TLD (.com,.net,.org) only?

PS: Sorry for my grammar which English is not my parent language.

Yes, the referral exclusion works with all domains.    Check out this comprehensive reference: http://www.lunametrics.com/blog/2015/06/16/cross-domain-tracking-with-google-tag-manager/

Here is a handy trick for exclusions in GTM - see http://www.simoahava.com/gtm-tips/implement-referral-exclusions-via-gtm/

Hi Tat Ming,

I suspect you have a different problem.  The referral Exclusion is applied at processing and you should not see the cid change.

Do you see the client ID appended to the url when you arrive on the second site?  And are you using the same GA account and property?

Best,

Good - cid must stay the same for cross domain to work.  Glad you got it.

Best,
