Hello,

What is the best way to compare sending traffic to generate leads via paid traffic vs sending traffic directly to a sales page?

Is there a way to compare it in google analytics?

Thanks

Hi,

you can check your sales page statistics directly from your Landing Page report where you can also see the conversion and where those conversions originated.

Hi Fernando,

What do you mean by saying sending traffic directly to sales page? Is it a next steps after landing on website via paid traffic?

Thanks

But how can you tell the revenue generated from those leads?

Ad > sales page directly, for example from Facebook ads or Adwords.

AdWords requires linking your GA and GAW accounts

Tracking Facebook ads require manually tagging your links (to your landing page) with UTM parameters. Otherwise it will get mixed up with other FB traffic.

In reports:

Behavior -> Site Content -> Landing pages

Select your sales page

Select source / medium from drop down 'Secondary Dimension'

I know FB ads can be tagged, but what if they buy after 10 days or so.

And how can I compare the 2 strategies mentioned in my first post?

Thanks a lot

If you have not tagged them you might separate them based on their landing page unless you have promoted that same landing page otherwise.

On that report I posted earlier you should see the goal completions / revenue. Check what source / medium has brought you the most conversions and then you can use excel if you have related costs (you can import them directly into Analytics too) and you should see who is the winner in delivering sales most efficiently

So in summary I should tag my ads then go to the report you mentioned and use the source / medium.

The option ad > sales page is clear, I can even check in the ad reports.

What is still not clear to me is if they buy after the nth email and each email has a different tagging, how can I compare then?
