Help Creating Goals for Form Submission Pages

Good Morning All,

I am trying to capture form submissions, but there is no stand-alone "thank you for your submission" page. Instead, I have a URL variable:

I tried a variety of setups in the Goal Details section under Destination including:

"equals to" oursite/form.cfm?submitted

"begins with" oursite/form.cfm?

"regular expression" form.cfm\?submitted

Yet, I cannot get a single conversion. (I'm using a dummy page to mimic the actual page to test my goal and both pages contain the necessary GA tracking code.)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks all!

Hi T,

Drop "oursite" (you don't need the hostname) and I would not recommend doing equals as any parameters you add in the future would break this. your regex looks good although you should also esacle the dot before cfm.

Lastly, make sure you are using a view that has not filtered out your traffic by IP.

Hope that helps...
