Google campaign isn't working because of ascii code

My email provider is converting my Google campaign UTM tracking code and adding ASCII code after I save it:

utm_source=email&utm_medium=eblast&utm_campaign-newsletter_april-2016

after I save the email template:

utm_source=email&utm_medium=eblast&utm_campaign-newsletter_april-2016

This is preventing Google Analytics from correctly tracking links to our website from the email sent. Any suggestions? I thought of using a link shortener and wondered if that would work and still maintain the tracking but would prefer to find a better solution.

Hi Angela,

That stinks! New email provider? Smiley Happy

If you add the utm params to the URL before you shorten it you should be fine. Be warned that most link shortening services will have your stats available to the public.
