Hi guys,

I need a help with following problem.
Measuring conversions for Organic search according Assisted conversion / First interaction analysis
Values for organic:
First click conversion - 146
Last click or direct conversions - 116

But when I check standard report Acquisition / Channels, I see 166 conversions for Organic search.

When I sum up all conversions from all channels:
First click conversion - 379
Last click or direct conversions - 379
Conversions in Acquisition / Channels - 379

Which looks ok.

Can somebody explain me why I see 166 conversions in Acquisition / Channels report and how is it calculated?

hi @Jan B,

They don’t match up because direct is defined differently in the MCF API. These reports will never match up because they treat direct traffic differently. I doubt Google will ever clean this up because giving direct traffic the credit it deserves in the Core Reporting API would distract from AdWords reporting.

kind regards

Noman Karim

Hi Noman,

thanks for your answer.
Which report should I follow then? Are data from Last / First click more accurate that from Acquisition/Channel report?

Kind Regards,
Jan
