Google Redirect Attribute

Hi All,

I have a magento store. Recently I add this extension to create coupon code links:

https://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/discount-coupon-code-link-1.html

I'm using in google shopping campaigns to show the coupon to the users that comes from this traffic source. I add in the feed a Google Redirect attribute and in there the link with the coupon, the link would be like this:

http://www.nationalequipmentparts.com/applycoupon/index/?code=aprilaire5%&return_url=X

The problem that I have is that now analytics stop tracking the traffic from adwords and start tracking that traffic as direct traffic. I don't know how to solve this huge problem, can anyone give me a hand?

Thanks!

HI Gonzalo,

I'm not sure I understand the question. If you're running a Google shopping campaign and have autotagging enabled, then you should have a GCLID appended to your URL and you should get proper attribution coupon or not. If the page redirects quickly on your site, this could cause a problem (as all redirects will with GA) and the params should be passed in the redirect. I'm not sure if this is a UI setting for Magento but normally requires modifying htaccess to pass params on redirect.

Hope that helps.

Best,
