Google Contents Experiments: filter by country

Trying to setup a contents experiment on a AngularJS website and part of the requirement  is to target a traffic from a specific country only. is this possible? Seems like the default will run the Experiment for traffic from all sources.

If I add a code to check for the experiment based on country would that affect the experiment metrics? for example is the Experiment sessions will based on the sessions for the target country or for on the sessions from all countries ?

Thanks

Hi,

You need to write your logic to run the GA experiment code if you want to target for particular country based on IP address of the visitor session. There is no such default settings in experiment at the moment, by default experiment will run for all user sessions.

Yes, if you add code then it will execute based on your condition

If you are looking at Analytics, you might want to try setting this up as a Custom Segment. You can setup the demographics by Location > Country and that will leave you the sessions data you are looking for without having to go crazy scripting.

Here is a tutorial if this is an acceptable option: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dD-j9dgWF98
