Google Analytics Code for different cross domains

Hello everyone,

 

I have one primary domain that is

www.abc.tv

and 2 sub-domains of other secondary domain

1- blog.xyz.com

2- news.xyz.com

 

Now i want view all states as single account which is www.abc.tv, so what changes i have to do in my Google analytic code?

 

OR

 

I just copy paste same code on all three sites and it will show accurate results?

Hi Afshaan,
You have to implement subdomain tracking and then you will be able to track your main domain and all subdomian.

You're in the fourth situation: Multiple domains with one or more subdomains that are treated as a single site.

What you need to do:

  • Ignore self-referrals
  • Prepend hostname to request URIs
  • Cross domain linking
