Hello everyone,

I have one primary domain that is

www.abc.tv

and 2 sub-domains of other secondary domain

1- blog.xyz.com

2- news.xyz.com

Now i want view all states as single account which is www.abc.tv, so what changes i have to do in my Google analytic code?

OR

I just copy paste same code on all three sites and it will show accurate results?

Thanks & Regards,

Afshaan

Hi Afshaan,
You have to implement subdomain tracking and then you will be able to track your main domain and all subdomian.

Please check this post on subdomain tracking @ http://www.ericmobley.net/guide-to-tracking-multiple-subdomains-in-google-analytics/

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Thanks santosh,

its helpful, but it will work on my scenario because my sub-domains are on other different domain.

Hi Afshan,

Check this article https://moz.com/blog/cross-domain-subdomain-tracking-in-google-analytics
You're in the fourth situation: Multiple domains with one or more subdomains that are treated as a single site.

What you need to do:

  • Ignore self-referrals
  • Prepend hostname to request URIs
  • Cross domain linking

The article mentioned include details about every step.

Best,

Marko
