Goals aren't matching up with the Goal Funnel report

I've got goals set up with mandatory paths.  In ADMIN/GOALS it shows there were 5 completions of my goal in the past 7 days.  When I look at the Goal Funnel report, there are no completions shown.

The goal is a destination goal (thank you for contacting us confirmation page) and it has a required first step (a solution page)

The funnel report says there were 25 visitors to the required solutions page but NONE made it to the confirmation page at the bottom of the funnel.

Why do I see the goal completions elsewhere, but not in the funnel report?

Hi :-)
The funnel report only relates to the funnel.
If you have checked the first step of the funnel as being mandatory, then only visitors that complete the first step
will show in the goal funnel as having completed a goal if they reach the end of the funnel.
This does not apply to any other goal reports.

The following is a really helpful article for understanding GA Funnels

Thanks for the response.
So what you're saying is the Funnel Report is the only accurate goal report. There is a required step, but the rest of the reports all show 5 completions...

No, what I am saying is that the funnel only relates to the funnel report, not the other goal reports.
If a visitor completes the goal at least once during a session, then it will be seen as a goal conversion in all

other goal reports...
There is also order of backfill to take into account too..

I strongly recommend having a read thru both the linked articles
