GTM sending Events to Analytics. Using those Events as a goal not working.

We set up GTM and we're sending each clicks events on our CTA buttons to Analytics.

Using this, we set up an Event-based Goal with the following conditions:

Category: Equals to: Click

Action: Regular expression: CTA

On Analytics Events we see all the clicks happening. Hundreds of clicks.

But this goal isn't syncing to the events. It's showing only a few clicks. I'm wondering why this is happening and how I can fix it.

Hi @Hyun L,

This is related to your goal definition. Based on the goal that you defined, I guess you want to have a goal that event category is equal to "Click" and event action contains "CTA". For the events that contains other values will not be considered as a goal.

Can you please change your regular expression to ".*CTA.*" ?

I hope this helps

Regards

Unfortunately, it did not work and showing similar data as I was gathering before. Perhaps it only counts unique by default?
