I have 3 questions regarding to tracking specific actions on a website.

Via Google Analytics…

  • How to track actions of users who use drop down list of a form on a site to get specific results?
  • How to track users who use a calculator on a website?
  • How to track users who use a vote form on a website?

Please note that there is no specific landing page for each mentioned actions, they are a part of all landing pages.

Hi Mahmoud,


Your title says it all : Event Tracking.   Event tracking is the way to go for interactions that don't result in a pageview on your site (other use cases also).    How exactly depends on your site and most likely will require help from your development team.  If you have GTM, you can enable the auto event variables and then see what you can pick up when you interact with these elements.
