Event Tracking

I am using Universal Google Analytics on my Wordpress site. I have setup even tracking for a button on my site using the following code:

<a href="URL" target="_blank" onClick="ga('send', 'event', 'Affiliate', 'Click', 'Button', 1);"><img src="IMAGE" alt="" width="40" height="65" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-2029" /></a>

However, it does not seem to be working as I am not getting any stats when clicking on Behavior -> Events although visitors are clicking on the button. Any feedback on what I am possibly doing wrong would be appreciated.

Hi :-)
are you able to see the event being tracked in the real time reporting for events when you test it?
(I'm assuming you are not blocking your visits from being tracked while testing)

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply. I am not able to see the event being tracked in real time either. Real time visits are being tracked normally however.

Hi :-)
Are you able to pls provide a link to the website and the url of the page with the problematic event link.

Also do you have any filters applied to the View?

If you do have filters applied... do you also have a View without any filters at all?

Thanks :-)

Hi

I think I might have found what's causing the issue. After I insert the event tracking code into the post and update it, it seems that for some reason, the event tracking code is being stripped from the post. Any idea what might be causing that? Thanks for trying to help me sort it out.
