Event Firing via GTM - Goal not firing via GA

Hi there,

I managed to get my on-click to work for the form on my website via GTM. However, I want to set this up as a Goal, and can't figure out how to get this to work. The form does not redirect to a "thank you" page after clicking "Submit".  In my GA account, I'm seeing the submissions under Behavior > Events, but not as a Goal. I know this takes 24-48 hours to populate, but I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, here?

Here is the html:

<input type="submit" class="submit btn-red" id="submit" value="Submit" onclick="ga('send', 'event', { eventCategory: 'formsubmit', eventAction: 'submit', eventLabel: 'lead'});">

Here is what my Goal looks like:

Thank you in advance!

Hi Samantha,

If you see your events under behaviour > events, goal set-up should be straightforward - as you've done. Check if there are any hidden whitespaces in your goal set up. Have there been any such evets after setting up the goal?

Thanks, Christoph! I was able to figure this out last night after some lengthy investigation. After speaking with Google Support, they stated that I wouldn't see the GA Goals for 24-48 hours after they triggered. My code was correct, but I just had to wait it out.

Thank you again!
