Ecommece revenue and Total Conversion Value

Hi experts,

We've imported transactions from Google Analytics to Google AdWords (that's the way to track the performance of our AdWords campaigns). We're not using AdWords conversion tracking.

The problem is that we're seeing discrepancy between Google Analytics Ecommerce Revenue and Google AdWords Total Conversion Value. The difference is about 10%.

Basically, it seems like not all the transactions are reported in Google AdWords.

  • Both account are linked properly.
  • Cost data is exactly the same in Google AdWords and Google Analytics.

We see the difference only if we compare (transactions and revenue in Google Analytics) against (transactions and total conversion value in Google AdWords).

We're analyzing 3 months period (01.01.2017-30.03.2017).

We're using the default session and campaign timeout settings in Google Analytics and 90 days conversion window in Google AdWords. Maybe it's just because of this 90 days window (GA default campaign timeout is 6 months)?

Has anyone experienced this kind of problem before?

What's the best practice (or what would you recommend) when analyzing revenue in Google AdWords?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks!

Does anyone have experience in importing GA revenue data to Google AdWords? What's the best solution for that?Smiley Happy
We'd like to analyze the performance of our keyword based on revenue (Total Conversion Value) and ROAS (Total Conversion Value / Cost).

Thanks in advance! Hope that someone have a bit more experience with that.
