Hi,

We are implementing e-commerce, to track sales of performance, all tags is working fine as we know it. But the number of Transaction is never 100% accurate compare to our e-commerce real data.

For Example : Real 220 orders, in Google Analytics only recorded : 180 orders. ( which i can see the detail for each transaction and its just fine ).

I just want to know, is it something to do with "FREE VERSION" of Google Analytics ? thats the sampling method just never can record 100% of real session and transaction ?

Please advise, so we dont waste our time try to make it 100% accurate.

Hi @Eddy Y - GA will almost never report on 100%. There are just too many fail points which you in any case have to work on in order to get to < 10% variation.

So basically:

Clean up the code (standardize and debug)

QA the payload (typeof, format and similar - the values sent to GA)

Be aware of adblocks and GA optouts which prevent GA all together  (there are ways to track this as well backe end side just in order to get a feel of % of people who choose not to be tracked)

Standard version of GA in standard reports will not give you diminished numbers as long as you are within the reasonable usage limits and do not use custom report set up.

Kind regards,
