Custom URL data discrepancies
I have supplied a colleague with a custom URL using the URL Builder tool to use in a banner ad in an e-mail they sent out via an agency.
I have been looking up results by finding the URL in question and clicking on "source/medium" as a secondary dimension to get the figures for visits from that custom URL.
The issue the number of clicks we have registered on GA is about 10% of the clicks we are getting back from our agency in their results from the e-mail.
I can find 0 issues with my custom URL and would like to know if anyone has had a similar problem with discrepancies in the past and might know why?
P.S I don't think the agency are inflating their figures by 90%
