Confirmation PageViews in GA count

Hi,

Yesterday, I have done 6 transactions and able to view the revenue and transaction ID which are correct.

By seeing the individual page view count for Confirmation page, I saw the count is 12. My website is designed using Master page in which I have mapped to GTM code which internally maps to GA ID.

For confirmation page, I have backend below C# code.

var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www.");

document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/analytics.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));

try{

ga('create',UA-68649805-1,auto)
ga('send', 'pageview');
ga('require', 'ecommerce');
ga('ecommerce:addTransaction' , {
'Id' : '13130', 'affiliation' : 'Collar Shirt.','revenue' : '49.99','shipping' : '100.00','tax' : '3.49'
})

ga('ecommerce:addItem', {'Id' : '13130', 'name' : 'Top','sku' : 'CB164','category' : 'Cheer','price' : '49.9900','quantity' : '1'})
ga('ecommerce:send')
} catch(err) {}

May I know how to take pageview only one even if I have GTM and GA in site. How to deactivate a pageview based on a page ?

Thanks,

Sriram

Hi Sriram
unfortunately, this is up to the developer to implement as it's "non standard" behaviour for a webpage. You can programmatically disable the code from sending the hit to the GA servers based on a cookie you set but you'll have to do this yourself.

Alternatively, I believe this may be possible in GTM although I'm really not sure.
