Changed currency reporting, but it's not retroactive any way to correct?

We changed our reporting currency and it's not changing the retroactive data, apparently by design. Is there some way to solve this? Going GA premium, or paying for retroactive updates, or is it simply by design and unavoidable?

You need to use calculated metrics.  See https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6121409 for historical reports.

Obviously, you have a challenge with exchange rates over time, since currency conversions require a constant.  You may need to generate your reports in chunks.

Have had to deal with this in the past, we ended up exporting the GA data to a database so we could adjust based on the exchange rate at transaction time.
