Cart/Buy-to-Detail Rate over 100%

Wondering if this is expected behavior:

- Visit a product page

- Add the item to your cart twice

- Purchase items

Cart-to-Detail Rate = 200%

Buy-to-Detail Rate = 200%

I'd think it would be better to only count a session once, and not go over 100%. But wondering if this is what should be happening, and if not, what went wrong in my implementation?

Cheers

Hi @Sam G - good question.

Cart-to-Detail Rate = 200% - expected as the add to cart metrics has been recorded twice for the product. (Your Product Adds To Cart metric will probably read as 2 while Product Detail Views metric stays as 1).

Buy-to-Detail Rate = 200% - this is the interesting part. If the Product Detail Views metric stays as 1 then it could imply that the purchase consists of 2 subsequent ga('ec:addProduct' for the same product - worth to check. Also check if there may be some double counting in terms of Transactions for the same Trans Id > 1.

Hope it helps!

Kind regards,

Zorin
