Attribution Tracking from Users Acquired from Facebook

Hey there!

We want to track how our Users acquired via Email subscriptions behave on our sites. The users were originally acquired via Facebook Leads so we have a large email list that corresponds directly to these Users.

With that being said what is the best way to tag them?

Thanks!

Hi,

two things you may apply in your case:
1. Preserve the facebook source as the initial acquisition source using a custom dimension - user scope (the value can be stored and reused either via a cookie or directly pushed from your CRM)

2. Tag your email campaigns so these comply with standard / default channel grouping - if a newsletter:
Source newsletter
Medium email
Campaign a combination of YYYYMM type of campaign would be quite handy

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,

You can use google link builder to tag these type of users.Ember the google tag builder link as below:
Campaign name:Your Campaign name
Campaign source:Email
Campaign medium:Email

Then after generating the link embed in your email, then you can really track this visitor behavior in GA

Are you meaning as a bulk group?
Or are you meaning as actual individuals?
Both can be done the first is relatively simple using post from @Zorin Escape
The second a little trickier as you have to ensure you abide by Google TCS there is a good post on it here:

They would go as a bulk or an email blast. Thank you for those solutions!
