users by region is different than by day index

Is there a reason why totaling All Users by region would give me a different total than All Users by day index for the same time period?

Thanks!

If i visit your site on Mon, Tues, Weds and you look at the data for each day, I will be seen as a user on each individual day.
That cant be summed though.. coz even over a week or month or year etc.. I am still the same single user over the wider date range.

Thank you! So just to be clear, your multiple visits will be captured in the days index, but by region they will just be seen as a single visit?

Hi :-)
Are you meaning Users or Sessions (Visits)
A single User will generate 1 or more Sessions (Visits)

If i have misunderstood your initial question, I do apologise.

No, what I am saying is if you are looking at a date range (for example, 7 days Feb 4 - Feb 10 - inclusive)
You cant sum the number of users displayed for each individual day in that date range .. and get the same User

total as given for the whole date range..some of those users would likely have visited on multiple days.

Feb 4 - Feb 10
I visit your site on Feb 4, Feb 5 and Feb 6
If you are summing User totals for each day, then on

Feb 4, I am 1 User for Feb 4 generating 1 session

Feb 5, I am 1 User for Feb 5 generating 1 session

Feb 6, I am 1 User for Feb 6 generating 1 session

If you are then looking at the User totals for the whole date range of a Feb 4 - Feb 10 - inclusive
I am 1 User for Feb 4 - Feb 10 generating 3 sessions

- 1 user from United States for Feb 4 - Feb 10 generating 3 sessions
