'not a parent' being provided as adwords keyword via Analytics API

Hi,

We import data via the Analytics API and recently we have received some data where 'not a parent' is provided as the keyword, although it is not a keyword listed in GA. Upon further investigation it became clear that this is the parental status targeting option for GDN but that doesn't seem to explain why it is being returned as a keyword.

If anyone has any advice on this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Max
The official support channels for the API and SDK are over on Stack Overflow here: http://stackoverflow.com/tags/google-analytics/info
You can report any bugs through the analytics issue tracker here: https://code.google.com/p/analytics-issues/issues/list

I'll add here that I've noticed this come through in the AdWords UI too so I don't think it's API specific. I've reported it to support and they're looking into it.

Hi Dave,

Having the same problem over here.

In Analytics > Detailed contentreport it is saying that the keyword 'not a parent'  is used over 50 times. I can not imagine anyone is using this keyword while looking for grouptours. Can anyone tell me how this is possible?

Hope you can help me out!

Kind regards,

Anne
