keyword does not rank

I have a blog and my problem is that I don't get my page in the google search results with the most important keyword for my blog.

Is there a best practise how to find out via google analytics/webmaster tools why my blog is not in the google search results with the important keyword?

I hope this is the correct place for my request :-/

Hi @Sebastian M, I would login to Search Console and see if your blog has been indexed, if you have sitemap errors, and if your keyword is generating impressions. https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en

You can also link search console to Google Analytics in the property setting in the Admin. https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/?authuser=1#management/Settings/

If I had to wager a guess, I would say that just spamming the keyword isn't working and you should look into using Schema to make is easier for the search engine to index the content. http://schema.org/docs/about.html
